About Us

Founded in 1979 by William Hill, Palm Desert Air Conditioning & Heating Company (PDAC) is a family owned and operated, full-service, air conditioning and heating specialist. We provide a full array of home comfort products and services:

William "Bill" Hill, a Professional Mechanical Engineer, graduated Cal Poly San Luis Obispo in 1951. Having enjoyed a brief retirement after a lifetime of Mechanical Contracting, sadly, he passed away March 3, 2001. His youngest son, Adam, graduated with a degree in Business Administration from U.S.C., in 1991, and ran the business for for five plus years. Adam sadly passed away on December 4, 2005. Bill, is survived by his wife Elaine, and Adam, is survived by his daughter Kassidy and wife Kelly.

Along with the strong family commitment, we are blessed with wonderful co-workers, some of whom have been with us throughout the years.

PDAC operates a fleet of fully equipped and stocked service, maintenance, and installation vehicles. We provide 24 hour emergency service to our Discount Club Agreement customers, and never charge them for overtime. When PDAC arrives at your home we will most likely have the correct parts to return your equipment to peak performance , and will leave our work area as clean or cleaner than when we arrived. Our maintenance and service technicians are constantly improving both their technical and customer service skills to ensure our customers are receiving the level of service they deserve.

Are They Complying?
Except for "de minimus," (minor losses when refrigerant is recovered) or accidental releases, all refrigerants (R-22, R-410a, etc.) must be properly recovered, recorded, and disposed of according to section 608, of the Clean Air Act effective July 1, 1992.
